SP Zürich

Elections 2010

The objective of this campaign was to get the young people of Zurich to do something they don’t like to do: Vote. Ideally, for our four candidates. We gave the public the tools to create their own platform in order to address issues that were important for them and their local community. The centerpiece of the campaign was launched where young people of Zurich spent most of their time: on Facebook. We founded the group “What Zurich Needs.”

Here, the community could post proposals for their hometowns. To vote for their favorite proposals, our group members simply used the “Like” button. Promoters then asked people on the street for additional proposals. We put their ideas online, too, so the community could vote for them. Outdoor posters and online banners featuring people’s ideas and Facebook profile pictures also led people to our online group.
