Amnesty on the Weather Channel

The core objective of this Amnesty International project was to expose and document human rights violations and bring them to the public. To communicate this message, we created the concept “It’s not happening here. But it’s happening now.” As a vehicle for the message, we chose Swiss TV’s popular “Weather Channel.” The program displays the current weather in the most beautiful Swiss countryside locations. In the midst of the show, we placed sequences of real human rights violations taking place in other countries and thus portrayed the collision of two worlds.
